Single Moms

Through my blog I have shared my own single mom story. I have shared my heartaches and struggles. I have also shared my complete dependence on a God that loves me and my children. Without God, I never would have survived the 19 years I have spent raising my kids as a single mom. My kids are my joy, my heartache, my teachers, my supporters, my chaos, and my life. This journey has never been easy, but it was so worth it when I now see the wonderful young adults that they have grown into. God has used these difficult years to prune me into the woman of God I need to be to be used by Him. I have run away. I have rebelled. I have bargained. But ultimately, I have grown. When I finally allowed God to disciple me, my relationship with Him grew into this wonderful partnership that pushes me forward in faith and obedience. It didn’t happen over night and I am still very much a work in progress, but our christian walk is a journey. When we put one foot in front of the other, taking each day as it comes, trusting God with our lives and our children, we grow in faith. We start to see what life can be beyond the kids screaming at each other, the bills that don’t get paid, the cars that break down and the confrontations with the ex. With God we start to have hope in a future. There is hope for the future, single mom.

I have a heart and a passion to mentor single moms who may be struggling in the journey. I am a certified Biblical lay counselor and would love to be able to help you overcome the challenges of single momhood. Please feel free to contact me if you need a mentor/accountability partner. I would love to walk beside you in this journey.

I have also written a 7 week Bible study for single moms on the Identity of God. Feel free to download it or print it out to use for yourself or with a friend/group. I wanted to keep it free because I know that every dollar is precious to the single mom. If you can give a financial gift, I appreciate your kindness.

If you are a single mom group leader, please feel free to use my Bible study in a group setting. You may print out as many copies as you need. I only ask that if you are able, if you can go to my support page and make a financial gift to support my life on mission in Valdosta, Georgia.
